I specialize in offering practical solutions to difficult problems that the manufacturing industry is facing today and in the future. Problem areas such as: process and product control, workforce development, quality assurance, economic analysis, statistical analysis, predictive maintenance, planning, FMEA, and system engineering. Additionally, I offer consulting resources such as training programs, workshops, workforce readiness assessments, strategic and tactical planning, and systems solutions along with other customized solutions tailored to each client’s unique needs.

My target market consists of small and medium-sized businesses in the manufacturing industry, who are looking to make their operations more efficient based on data and methodical research. I created Simonton Engineering to supply practical solutions to difficult problems that the manufacturing industry is facing today and in the future. Problem areas such as: mentioned but not limited to those mentioned previously. Such as; process and product issues, workforce development, quality assurance, economic analysis, project management, statistical analysis, predictive maintenance, coordination, alternative energy solutions, and system engineering.
Management Team
My research interests include project management, systems engineering, operational research, engineering economics, statistical analysis, logistics, lean six-sigma, and quality assurance. His research continues to be involved in alternative energy research in the areas of electrical generation, biomass gas to liquids, and utilization of stranded or flared natural gases. Resulting from his work in biomass and natural gas to liquid, he has several patents in alternative energy related areas. His work has resulted in 22 journal articles, 6 technical reports, over 1000 citations of work and 36 conference papers. In his corporate experience he served in positions ranging from night shift production supervisor to superintendent of operations and most positions in-between for manufacturing operations.

Tamara Simonton BS
Tamara has 24 years of experience in Marketing for Northwest Airlines. As the Customer Service Director for NATCO, Northwest Airlines’ flight simulator facility in Eagan, Minnesota. She has a vast amount of experience in dealing with marketing solutions at Northwest Airlines, Texas Tech University, just to name a few. In her capacity, she worked with and interacted with 120 airlines from around the world. She directed the customer service team, negotiated contracts, handled problem resolution, managed a $20,000,000.00 budget annually, just to name a few responsibilities. Utilizing vast knowledge of cultural diversity, negotiating contracts, understanding the needs of clients and making them feel at ease and confident in our business, is a huge and part of what we offer to our clients, makes her an invaluable asset to Simonton Engineering. Tamara also studied, the co-taught certify community leaders in Lubbock, TX and the surrounding area in the Certified Public Manager’s Program.
